Single-Delay Radar Range Simulator

The Eastern OptX Series 1100 Radar Target Simulator is a true propagation path replicator. The Series 1100 receives the signal transmitted from a radar system and adds the round-trip propagation delay associated with the target distance. That signal is then output to the radar receiver. The radar I/O may be connected directly to the Series 1100 or received and trans- mitted with user specified antenna. For a moving target the system will add the appropriate Doppler shift associated with the target speed and Radar frequency. The Series 1100 is broad band with ranges up to 40 GHz with a dynamic range of over 100 dB.

Multi-Delay Radar Range Simulator

Eastern OptX introduces moving target generators covering radar frequencies from 1 – 18 GHz. These compact systems provide target generation with Doppler from 0 to 3 MHz, and allows the user to set target and radar source speeds and directions. Systems may be operated remotely using wireless control with scenario generator features including flight path replication, moving source and targets, and multiple target options. Data may be entered in multiple formats including target and radar speed and direction, start-stop LONG-LAT and speeds, and directly with pre-programmed map placements. All Series 5000 Doppler Generators may be used together with the Eastern OptX Series 3000 delay lines to create both Doppler and step-wise target and source movements. This combination creates a complete moving target replication.

Doppler Generator

The EOX Series 6000 Altimeter Test Set is designed to test and calibrate radar altimeter systems. The Series 6000 provides multiple, programmable delays with front panel and/or remote computer control. It features ultra wide bandwidth, low loss, high isolation, and high dynamic range. Able to simulate altitudes up to 50,000 feet, the test set operates from 4.2 to 4.4 GHz and offers altitude accuracy up to 0.1 %. Tests all Radar Altimeter models and technologies.

Altimeter Test Set

The Eastern OptX Series 7000 Two-Radio System is a test network which replicates the propagation path for real world applications. The system allows the user to test a variety of Air Interfaces using the same system without modification, and at the same time. This is not a signal emulator. The systems use low-loss fiber optic cable to create the propagation delay associated with radio transmissions from 1 MHz to 40 GHz. Two radios may be connected to the network allowing full duplex operation. Each radio may operate using a different or identical Air Interface. The delays between radios may be fixed or variable, and optional amplitude control provides the appropriate propagation loss. The Series 7000 creates a test range right in your lab. It can be used as a design aid and as a test tool for new modulation and encryption schemes prior to expensive field testing.

Two-Radio Channel Replicator

The Eastern OptX Series 8000 Radar Target Repeater is a portable, variable delay and propagation loss system designed for radar testing and alignment. The repeater may be remotely programmed in the field for dynamic operation. When connected to a user specified antenna the repeater can provide delays of up to 500 usec with a fixed delay, multiple discrete delays, or a progressive variable delay with amplitude control (see page 6). The Series 8000 features ultra wide bandwidth, low loss, high isolation, low noise figure, and high dynamic range.

DNA: Digital Phase Noise and Frequency Analyzer

The Eastern OptX Series 1400 Attenuators are continuously variable (not step attenuators) with operation from DC to 1.5 GHz (Usable to 4 GHz) depending on the model. 0-15 dB (usable to 25 dB)

This Series is ideal for new product designs and also for replacement of obsolete models from other suppliers designed into legacy products.

Three styles are available with various mounting configurations, including panel mount.

Series 1500 Portable Anechoic Chamber

The Eastern OptX Model 1250 Radar Target Simulator is a digital propagation path replicator. The 1250 will produce a moving target with appropriate target cross-section, propagation loss, with a dynamic range of over 50 dB.

The 1250 operates with pulsed, frequency hopping, or CW radars and with any encryption or modulation scheme.
